We usually make a big recipe and then cool the leftovers (if there are any) on a rack and then warm them up in the toaster for a snack sometime.
I was almost out of flour so I tried this. It is good for a change.
I first made these the morning of a Calvinette slumber party. Even in the dawning hours of a new day following a sleepless night, they were a big hit.

I can remember eating “panacakes” (as dad would say) for supper. I still like to, sometimes. Mom would make this big batch because everybody liked them. The middle of our gas stove opened to a griddle which was perfect for frying pancakes. I think that is one of the first things each of us kids learned to make.

Leftovers can be quickly reheated in the microwave to a more usual hurried breakfast. The mulberries were picked and then cooked with a small amount of water, sugar, flour, and a package of black raspberry koolaid to enhance the flavour, then they were frozen.
Arlo, Gwen and Elbert camped out in a tent in our back yard for a few nights during summer vacation in 1994. They made bannock over their morning campfire. They made sure all of the ingredients were out side the house or else I would have to set them on the deck before they got up otherwise it didn’t feel like they were truly roughing it!
