Cook slowly, in just enough water to cover, until soft:

1 lb. dried apricots

Then add the following and boil until thick:

1/2 cup sugar
3 tsp. (rounded) cornstarch

Remove from heat and stir in while hot:

1 Tbsp. margarine
1 1/2 Tbsp. lemon juice

To prepare the crust, mix the following together until crumbly:

3/4 cup margarine
1 cup brown sugar
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/2 cups flour
1 cup dry oatmeal

Press half of the crust into a 9x13 pan.  Spread filling over and sprinkle with:

1/2 tsp. grated lemon peel

Sprinkle remaining crust over and bake 35 minutes at 350ºF.
