This is the Hodnefield way of preserving corn. It has a good sweet flavor and when eaten in the middle of winter, almost seems as good as fresh.
8-10 cups corn cut off the cob (raw)
1/4 lb. butter
1 tsp. sugar
1 Tbsp. salt
1 cup water
Boil water, butter, salt, and sugar. Pour over corn and boil for 3 minutes. Cool, then freeze.
