This is a really quick and tasty dessert treat. It's a variation of a recipe we found in a Food & Wine magazine. We first tried it as part of Reuben's 7th birthday festivities.
- 2 lbs of frozen fruit
(tested with assorted berries, and separately with mango and pineapple) - 1/2 can of sweetened condensed milk
- 1/2 tsp vanilla (optional)
- pinch of kosher salt
Throw the frozen fruit in the food processor and chop up. Add sweetened condensed milk, vanilla and salt and puree until smooth. (Push down from edges as needed while puree'ing).
Serve immediately, or freeze for a number of hours and remove about 10 minutes before serving.
