I got this recipe from someone in Regina.  These breadsticks are really good (we have made them as a midnight snack upon occasion).

Melt and set aside:

1/4 cup margarine

Combine in large bowl:

2 1/2 cups flour
1 Tbsp.. sugar
3 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 -1 cup grated cheddar cheese

Add and stir with fork:

1 cup milk (1/3 cup powder, 1 cup water)

When dough clings together, turn onto well floured board and roll to coat with flour.  Knead gently 10 times.  Roll into 12x8 rectangle, 1/2 inch thick.  Cut into sticks.  Dip or spread with the melted butter.  Sprinkle with toppings of your choice:
onion powder, garlic powder, parmesan, thyme, sesame seeds...
Bake at 425ºF for 12-15 minutes.  Serve immediately. 
Yield:  32.
