Cheese Burger Pie

Sister in law Nellie gave me this recipe.  It is a nice meat dish.  I usually serve potatoes, vegetables and salad with it.

Crust:

1 unbaked pie shell

Filling:

1/2 can tomato soup
1 pound ground beef (browned slightly)
1 tsp. salt
1/4 cup chopped green peppers
1/4 cup chopped onion
1/2 cup fine bread crumbs

Topping:  Mix together:

1 cup grated cheese
1 beaten egg
1/4 cup milk
1/2 tsp.Worcestershire sauce
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. mustard

Spoon filling into pie shell.  Top with Topping Bake at 425ºF for about 30 minutes.  Heat remaining 1/2 can of soup with a little water. Serve as a sauce for the pie.
