This recipe is from Capper's Weekly.  I've written it over for several of the recipe files we give the brides in our church.

Cream together:

1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup white sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 egg
1/3 cup peanut butter
1/2 tsp. vanilla

Stir together and add:

1 cup flour
1/2 tsp. soda 
1/4 tsp. salt
1 cup oatmeal

Spread in a 9x13 pan.  Bake at 350ºF. for 20-25 minutes.  Then spread with the icing:

1/2 cup icing sugar
1/4 cup peanut butter
2-4  Tbsp. Milk.
