Bargain Banana Bread

This recipe is hand-written in my book. I got it from mom, who says she got it from "the Super Store's bargain banana bag".

Yet more advice from a fellow dumpster diver on how to use up all those bananas. She says: "found online..this tastes good with strawberries and sugar on top."

After the CBC team followed Ryan and me on a dumpster run, I was contacted by another dumpster diver who wanted to ask a few questions and we ended up swapping some recipes. When you end up with a bumper crop of bananas, you need some creative ways to use them all because you can only eat so much banana bread! This recipe came from her.

Banana Bread is often served at Sunday morning lunches at mom’s house.  This bread stays moist.  Really ripe bananas give the best taste.  We often bake this in soup cans (fill about 2/3 full) for a more rounded effect.
