This salad recipe was from a family Donna Wynia and I visited quite often while on SWIM in Arizona in summer 1966.  The Bergsmas would take us on a picnic, this salad was usually part of the meal.

Combine:

  • 1 pkg. (85 gram) lime jello
  • 1 cup boiling water. 

Stir to dissolve, cool until it is the consistency of egg whites.  Add:

  • 1 can crushed pineapple (15 1/4 oz.) juice included
  • 1 cup diced celery
  • 2 - 3 cups miniature marshmallows

Whip:

  • 1 envelope Dream Whip (prepared)
  • 2 - 3 oz pkg. cream cheese

Fold the cream cheese mixture into jello.  Refrigerate until set.
