Peanut Sweet Potato Soup

This soup has a peanut sauce undertone which is quite good.

Our favourite dessert this fall is the Upside-Down Pear Gingerbread recipe from the cookbook Simply in Season. You should probably make this. Soon. IT IS SO TASTY!

This is our current favorite [pumpkin recipe]. We have 1 cup bags of frozen pre-cooked pumpkin in the freezer which work for this.
Spiced Apple Pear Crumble Pie

This is a recipe I made up based on a variety of online sources and the contents of our fridge. I think it turned out fairly well.

Honey-Ginger Autumn Stir Fry

I biked over to the local farmer's market today and picked up a bunch of fall/winter produce without a real plan for what to do with it all. This was an original creation and has a lot of different "wintery" flavors blending together.

We enjoyed this recipe last night. It's got crunch, lots of sauce and a nice flavour (although Jon and I both said that next time we'd add hot sauce for a little more kick).  Thought I'd pass it on...

Mix together and refrigerate:

  • 1 pkg. (8 oz.) cream cheese
  • 2/3 cup brown sugar
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/8 tsp. ginger

Dip apples and strawberries.
